A Note from Awe Puppies Mom, Miss. Jodie on the First Day of
School,
Over the last few week's we have been blessed to meet a lot of
great families who visited Awe Puppies with young children about
to enter Kindergarten and 1st grade this year. Immediately we
Moms bonded in our reservations of our 'babies going off to
school'. Personally, I have 4 very close family friends with
children this age and my very own pride and joy in life, Lil
Miss Lakyn entered 1st grade today. Along with a fellow mom we
watched our precious angels get on the bus together hand-in-hand
with bookbags on their tiny little backs and wave to us all big
and proud as they rode off on that giant yellow bus to the first
full-day of school. Needless to say, as I knew I would, I cried
and cried through both the camcorder and camera lenses while
savoring these precious moments forever. As I wandered aimlessly
through my day I missed her darling little voice asking me for
juice and hugs and her usual ice pop after
lunch. My day without my precious baby made me wish I could turn
back the hands of time. My message to my Mommy buds is to just
love and adore these young years as a mom of a recent high
school grad told me that soon enough they'll be asking for the
car keys to drive themselves to school. And, to my friends of
toddlers, don't wish the years away. They pass all too quickly.
And for those loving husbands and Daddy's...please just relish
in these moments and the many tears that your wife may shed -
they truly are tears of joy and just know 'It's A Mommy Thing'.
Someday our little angel-bugs will all to soon be graduating and
off to college and we'll wonder why we hurried our days away
over silly things that really didn't much matter.
With great adoration for a friend who held my hand (and my
heart) today Thanks! You know who you are.
Mommy's of the Kleenex carrying kind - know you are not alone.
wink!
And, if you're bored while the kids are in school, come sit with
our puppies...they offer free cuddles and hugs till the kids
come home.
