Awe Puppies Boutique is proud to sponsor fun activities for the pets of East Petersburg Community on East Petersburg Community Day Saturday, September 20, 2008. All pets are invited to compete is some fun, relaxing, non-athletic contests. All entrants will receive a “Treat Bag” and overall Winners will win Prizes such as Gift Certificates, pet Toys and Gourmet Pet Treats. 

Awe Puppies Boutique will also be setting up a mini Agility Course. Everyone is welcome to have his or her doggie take a run through the agility course. There will be a $2 entry donation for each ‘run’. All proceeds from the agility runs will be donated to the Humane League of Lancaster County.

Contest Times to be announced.

Entry forms for all contests available at Awe Puppies Boutique, 5984 Main Street, East Petersburg or by phoning 569.5858. Registration will be held the morning of East Pete Day. Entrants may register the day of the event within ½ hour of contest start-time.

We ask that all pets be kept on a leash and be cleaned up after during their time at the park.

Awe Puppies will provide refreshments for the pets while competing.

September 2007,
It's that time of year again...time for the exciting run of community Fair Days throughout the Susquehanna Valley.  As many of you know we have been diligently and I mean DILIGENTLY working on a full fledge float for this year's Baby Parade Competition at the area Fairs. A huge tradition to the many who compete. There's never a dull moment in the Young household. It's been up till 2/3am and up at 7:30am for the last 3 1/2 weeks - literally. So much to do. But, it's all worth it. You should see how thrilled Lakyn is with this project.

A little history...the past 4 years I would always enter the Baby Parade Event in the  "walking division" with Lakyn's hand-made-constructed costume's. Her first year at only 9 months old she was a "Laky-Bug". The next few years she was "Cute as a Posie Barbie", "Winter Princess Barbie" and "Scarecrow Barbie". Proudly I will say we always won 1st or 2nd place in the Ephrata, New Holland and Manheim Fairs.

Well, this year we got a bit braver (and waited of course to the very last minute) and we constructed a float which is a life-size Holiday Barbie. It's so cool. It stands 6' tall, 8' WIDE and 4' deep. It's huge. We've even borrowed an enclosed motorcycle trailer to haul the dog-gone thing.

Lakyn is soooo excited. She's been a real trooper with glittering, gluing and "driving mom's sewing machine". ;-)
Traditionally, we save all her prize winnings until the Christmas season. Then, Awe Puppies matches her winnings TIMES 2, and then she goes on a shopping spree to Toys R Us and Wal Mart and buys new toys, books, socks, underwear and toothbrushes and donates them to 3 separate charity housing organizations here in Lancaster for children who are homeless, abused and less fortunate.

So, with all of this said, we greatly apologize if our website isn't as updated as daily with all the festivities of float construction and b-dazzling but, we feel all our hard work is definitely worth it to teach Lakyn commitment to a project and the overall joy of giving back to the community, especially those her own age.

"Seda", top left corner chosen as the Cutest Puppy on the Ellen Degeneres Show, Tuesday, November 7, 06. Seda is a Morkie Mix from Awe Puppies proudly owned by Jenni & Eddie of York.

"Hi Jodie and Jamie,
     We thought you might be interested to know where our little Seda was spotted on Tuesday.  Unfortunately these pictures were taken off of a tv, so they are blurry, but if you notice the top left hand side of the photo, you will see our little Seda Bear.
    She had her picture plastered on a huge screen behind Russell Crowe and Ellen Degeneres on the Ellen Degeneres Show!!!  They were looking for pictures of the cutest animals, so I sent in a picture of Seda. Out of thousands of animals, they chose our little girl as one of the cutest!
     We are very proud parents! :-)  The day after the Ellen Degeneres show aired our little Seda showed up in the York Daily Record (our local paper) for a "Pet of the Month" contest. One of these days I would love to have a little brother or sister for Miss Seda, and we will certainly be sure to go through you guys, AWE PUPPIES.  Hope all is well with you!!!
