Meet the Staff of Awe Puppies
We are pleased to make your acquaintance
|
Dear Prospective Awe
Puppies
Family,
Awe
Puppies is family owned and
operated and because of this, you'll find that we are only open
to the public a few days a week. We pride ourselves
on adorable, quality, family pets, not that they wouldn't look
adorable in the show ring, our focus is on temperament and
enjoyable personalities with the children. While
we feel every puppy is the Cutest Puppy (wink), we can't help but
boast that we are extremely proud with
the attention our precious puppies continue to receive on a
National level. You'll see that Awe
Puppies have been selected as
"Cutest Puppies" in contests on the Ellen
Degeneres Show and in the New
York Post as well as many local, hometown
contests. Awe
Puppies must be doing
something right including raising all of our babies in healthy
loving environments, most with small children making them
child-friendly and with lots of pre-spoiling, superior care and
extreme TLC.
We
are not a kennel and we are not a
pet-store. You won't find an
array of animals or an abundance of accessories. We refer to
ourselves as a boutique because by definition a boutique is a
small exclusive business offering customized service of
specialized items or luxuries (like the fine wineries of California
& the fine art boutiques of New England).
At Awe
Puppies our
specialty is Toy Breed & TCup Puppies; both Pedigree &
Popular Mixes (some say 'designer'). And naturally our
love for puppies goes back to our childhood....Jodie grew up with
"Spunky" a wonderful Pekingese/Lhasa mix that lived a long
17 years. God love him for all the times we dressed him up and
showcased him in the yearly pet parade at the New Holland Fair! We
also had a small Mini
American Eskimo mix that lived 12 wonderful years and numerous large
breed Doberman and German mixes throughout the
years.
Miss Katie, our agility expert has a great love of Shelties. She
and her best
man Harry have competed on many levels winning many Blue Ribbons.
Our home is adorned
with many of the four-legged kids....Rahja,
a German bred Rottweiler who is also nicknamed 'Mama Bear'. Although Rahja tends to think
of herself as a mere 5-pound lapdog rather
than the 150-pound bull she is, we can't imagine life without her!
Shortly after Rahja
we quickly acquired several other
'children' of the
4-legged kind. We of course h ad to have a dog for
our dog so along came Coco
Chaznel, a T-Cup Pedigree
Yorkshire Terrier. Naturally, Coco
needed her own doggie so she
chose Paris,
a T-Cup Pedigree Chihuahua. And, our very own designer mix Caige,
a Mini-Rottweiler look-a-like puppy (who thinks she's as big as Rahja) of a mere 9
pounds and finally our dear little Louis
Vuitton, a male Maltese of only 3 pounds.
Needless to say, there are days we wonder what we're doing with one
amazingly large puppy running about the house and three extremely
small ones and a now 6 year old daughter, who we swear some days is
going on 8, others 12; but, we quickly refer to a quote a dear
friend once shared that 'God only gives to us what he knows we can
handle'. It's then that we rest in knowing our lives are perfectly
filled and wouldn't trade it for the world.
Our love for puppies is so strong that we've made it our life's
work to pair the finest toy breed
puppies available with the perfect forever families who we
feel in our hearts match just as well as we do our canine
babies.
We strongly believe in positive energies and Good
Karma. Truly, its been our personal experiences that what 'goes out
comes back'. What is given is what is received. We've been very
blessed with family and friends and we've met some wonderful,
ethical colleagues over the years. We strive to be fair and moral
and together we continue to educate ourselves and each other on
breeding, raising and training quality family puppies and
canines.
We also find great joy and importance in being active in and to sponsor
our community, its children and pets always trying to make the world
a better place to live. It's at home that we begin to make the world
a better place to live for ourselves and our future generations.
We hope you feel comfortable knowing that Awe
Puppies is so much more than a profession for us - it's our full-time passion.
We hope you agree that a home just isn't
complete without a few or, in our case, MANY of God's wonderful
creatures running about!
Warmly,
The Awe Puppies Family,
Jodie, Lakyn, Katie, Kelly, Emily, Liz, Jordan
and Rahja, Coco, Paris, Caige and Louis V

Once a dog lover,
Always a dog lover!
| We feel it very
important that if you are
considering adopting a puppy from Awe
Puppies you
can see and feel comfort in knowing we share a deep love,
commitment and adoration for puppies, adult puppies and most
importantly children.
Our daughter Lakyn will also tell you that her 'babies' are the best at
tea parties, dress up and taking walks in her stroller.
Rajha, however, is best at pony rides, tug-of-war and jungle gym.
Paw-lease excuse us as we
boast many photo's of our Kids...

A Mother's Day Tribute from Jodie,

Sunday,
May 15, 2006
A
special note to mom's of the beautiful two-legged creatures and the
four-legged kind, Happy
Mother's Day to every Mom across the world who help keep it a safe, loving
and respectful one. Not just today, but for every day.
Someone once told me, at a moment I was very
frustrated at my then 2 1/2 year old daughter who had pushed every
button I apparently had, that I must stop and realize that although the
days may seem very, very long the years are much, much too short. Since
then, I've learned to count to ten very well, all too often, and embrace
the numerous "Mommy look at me" moments and truly, truly savor
them. I know when she's suddenly 16, she'll only want Mommy to toss her the
keys and be on her way with her friends.
So, enjoy the day Mom's. We
certainly deserve it and we should take pleasure in the time our
children give us on this special day. Hence, I preferably won't be
answering the telephone(s) on this wonderful day so that I can enjoy
digging in the garden, eating ice cream sundae's and doing whatever it
is that four-year-olds and their Mom's do on this special day. Happy
Mother's Day Ladies!
Warmly, Jodie Young

A few thoughts
that we at
Awe
Puppies
practice everyday...
Embrace Life.
Live! Laugh! Love!
It's about
wanting what you Have,
not what you Want.
Little children
and little puppies are eager to learn, quick to mess up
and forgive without thinking twice. Perhaps we adults
should think little too.
